The Basco Children's Home
The (BASCO) Children’s Home was established in August 1996. It is currently, a home for over 220 boys and girls between 5years to 18 years old.
It offers primary and junior high school education on its premises where other children from the community attend school. Most of the children are orphans rescued from deplorable conditions. Some of the children are from backgrounds of social negligence, malnutrition, abuse, and child trafficking.
At BASCO, the children are educated, morally trained, fed and cared for. Medical and health care is also provided. They have a team of 27 caregivers. .
CIA helps schools under trees by providing the children with uniforms and basic school supplies such as notebooks, pens, and pencils.
We also help build classrooms and provide much-needed supplies for the school. High Grade School and SCEF (Street children empowerment foundation) are two beneficiaries of our organisation.
We also take on special projects that are much needed in our community. One of our special project was to help a little girl receive critical heart surgery by fund-raising. To date she has recovered from heart surgery and is happy, and healthy.
